Hot Air Through Nonwoven Fabric Industry Knowledge Extension

Principle Of Hot Air Through Nonwoven Fabric
Hot air through nonwoven fabric refers to the production method that uses hot air to penetrate the fiber web on the drying equipment to heat and melt it to produce bonding. The heating methods used are different, and the performance and style of the products are also different. Generally, the products made by hot air bonding have the characteristics of fluffy, soft, good elasticity and strong warmth retention, but the strength is low and easy to deform. In the production of hot air through nonwoven fabric, it is mostly necessary to mix a certain proportion of low-melting point bonding fibers into the fiber web or use bi-component fibers, or a powder spreading device applies a certain amount of bonding powder before the fiber web enters the drying room. The melting point of the powder is lower than that of the fiber, and it melts quickly after being heated, which makes the fibers bond together. The heating temperature of hot air through nonwoven fabric is generally lower than the melting point of the main fiber. Therefore, in the selection of fibers, the matching of the thermal properties of the main fiber and the bonding fiber should be considered, and the gap between the melting point of the bonding fiber and the melting point of the main fiber should be as large as possible to reduce the thermal shrinkage of the main fiber as much as possible. Maintain the original performance of the fiber. The strength of bonding fiber is lower than that of normal fiber, so the amount added should not be too large, generally controlled at 15%~50%. Because of its small thermal shrinkage, bicomponent fibers are very suitable for use alone or as bonding fibers for the production of hot-air bonded nonwovens, forming a point-bonded structure with good effects, and the products produced by this method have higher strength , also soft to the touch.

The Main Raw Material Of Hot Air Through Nonwoven Fabric
ES fiber is the most ideal hot-bonding fiber, which is mainly used for hot air through nonwoven fabric processing. When the carded fiber web is thermally bonded by hot rolling or hot air penetration, the low-melting point components form melt adhesion at the intersection points of the fibers, and after cooling, the fibers at the non-intersection points remain in their original state, which means It is a form of "point bonding" rather than "area bonding", so the product has the characteristics of bulkiness, softness, high strength, oil absorption, and blood absorption. In recent years, the rapid development of thermal bonding applications is entirely dependent on these new synthetic fiber materials.
ES fibers are mixed with PP fibers and then thermally bonded or needle-punched to make ES fibers cross-linked and bonded to each other. This method has the advantage of not requiring the use of adhesives and backing cloth.
